AI is the premiere general AI conference in the Australasian region and is held annually. The purpose of the conference is to promote research in AI and scientific interchange among AI researchers and practitioners. Papers submitted are carefully reviewed in a two-tier process and by a strong international committee. The program chairs for AI-08 are Associate Professor Wayne Wobcke (University of New South Wales) and Dr Mengjie Zhang (Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand).

The AI-08 committee now invites you to submit your technical papers (original and unpublished) and proposals for tutorials and workshops. The proceedings will be published in Springer-Verlag's Lecture Notes in Computer Science/Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence series. The committee will consider a number of awards for best paper(s) and best student paper(s). Some scholarship will be made available for students whose papers are accepted for presentation at the conference and who are currently studying in any of the Australasian Universities. Papers on all aspects of AI are welcomed and in particular those related to the following topics:

Main Topics of Interest:
Agents and Multi-Agent Systems AI Applications AI Foundations
